Police officers have launched a manhunt for suspects behind a Prime Bank heist in Nakuru county.
The incident was reported at the West Side Mall branch by one of the bank managers.
The five suspects, according to police reports, were allowed in by a day guard, before making their way to the rear of the banking hall.
“They then ransacked the drawers and stole away an amount estimated at Kshs 2.3 million.” The Police report read.
One of the hostages, a 37 year old Meshack Tanui was injured and rushed to the hospital.
One home made gun, one hammer and Mobile phone make Huawei, Kshs 1000 note were found at the scene.
Police have ordered immediate investigations into the siege that is believed to have been an inside job.
