Timothée Chalamet Calls Susan Boyle an “All-Time Great Brit”

Chalamet began his list with more expected names: seven-time Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton, and the iconic duo David and Victoria Beckham.

Hollywood star Timothée Chalamet has revealed his personal list of the five all-time great Brits, and his final, heartfelt pick is one few might have predicted: singer Susan Boyle.

Chalamet began his list with more expected names: seven-time Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton, and the iconic duo David and Victoria Beckham.

He then gave a nod to underground London rapper Fakemink, who recently collaborated with the anonymous Liverpool drill artist EsDeeKid—an artist many have linked to Chalamet himself. (“No comment,” was the actor’s only reply to the speculation. “All will be revealed.”)

But after a long, thoughtful pause, the actor named his surprising final choice. “Susan Boyle,” he declared, referring to the 64-year-old former Britain’s Got Talent sensation who went on to achieve two US number-one albums.

“She dreamt bigger than all of us,” Chalamet explained without a hint of irony. Recalling her 2009 viral performance of I Dreamed a Dream that captivated the world, he added, “Who wasn’t moved by that? I remember that like it was yesterday. That was like the advent of YouTube, you know.”
