Achieng, a concerned parent at a local primary school said the frequent breaks could affect the value of education.

“Schools have been opened just the other day and i cant believe it. Three weeks later my school is calling me to pick up the boy for another week-long holiday? How will they learn well with all these breaks. ” she posed.

The break will see learners another week away from the school environment.

The education system has been forced to juggle between books and health implications of the COVID-19 pandemic.
