Tottenham Crashes Foxes To Close In On Top-Four Finish

Tottenham beat Leicester 3-1, with Son Heung-min scoring twice and Harry Kane rediscovering his goal-scoring touch.

The result boosts Tottenham’s chances of finishing in the Premier League’s top four.

Kane, who had gone goalless in his previous five Spurs games, scored the game’s first goal from Son’s corner.

After being picked out by Dejan Kulusevski, Son stroked in the second and then curled in a spectacular third.

With a crisp strike, Leicester’s Kelechi Iheanacho scored a consolation goal.

Spurs have climbed to fourth place, displacing Arsenal, who play West Ham later on Sunday.

“It was a fantastic afternoon, a fantastic match, and a fantastic team performance. We deserved it completely, “Son, who has 19 league goals this season, said as much.

Tottenham knew how important it was to get back on track against a Leicester side that had more pressing priorities this week, especially with games against title-chasing Liverpool and top-four rivals Arsenal on the horizon.

Spurs had lost both of their previous matches, having been punished for a sluggish performance in a home defeat by Brighton and failing to break down a resolute Brentford last weekend.
