Kenya’s tourism stakeholders have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the sector through strategic multi-agency collaboration aimed at enhancing service delivery, security, and investor confidence.
In a high-level consultative meeting held Saturday in Nairobi, the Tourism Fund, in partnership with the Tourism Regulatory Authority (TRA) and the Tourist Police Unit (TPU), outlined plans to intensify joint efforts in regulating, promoting, and protecting the tourism industry.
The meeting brought together senior leadership from all three agencies to explore coordinated approaches in enforcing tourism standards, ensuring tourist safety, and supporting tourism development initiatives through targeted financing.
Speaking at the session, the CEO of the Tourism Fund emphasized the need for unified action. “As we focus on improving the quality of service delivery and infrastructure within the sector, multi-agency collaboration is essential to creating a secure, well-regulated, and investor-friendly environment,” he said.
TRA officials stressed the importance of maintaining high operational standards across tourism establishments, while TPU representatives reiterated their dedication to safeguarding tourists across the country.

The initiative is seen as a major step toward building a cohesive and sustainable tourism ecosystem where safety, quality, and growth are achieved through shared responsibility.
