Ruto Trade Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria met with Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni on Friday at Nakasero State Lodge inKampala.
Kuria said in a statement released Saturday morning that he was in Uganda to deliver a “special message” from President William Ruto to Museveni and that he also used the opportunity to discuss a wide range of bilateral, regional, continental, and global issues.
“Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting President Yoweri Museveni at State House Kampala, where I delivered a special message from his brother, President William Ruto,” Kuria said.
“We also took the opportunity to discuss a wide range of bilateral, regional, continental, and global issues,” he added. I specifically thanked President Museveni for allowing limited exports of iron ore to Kenya under special circumstances.”
Following the talks, Kenya and Uganda will establish a joint mechanism to conduct a SWOT analysis of the two countries’ agricultural, manufacturing, and service potential in order to plan a joint supply chain.
President Museveni also thanked President Ruto on Twitter, posting, “I thank H.E. William Ruto for opening the market for our milk, eggs, and chicken, among other things.”
