A trader was yesterday charged with tax evasion after he was arrested for selling uncustomed goods at Kitengela, Kajiado County.
Njuguna Peter Kihika appeared at Milimani Court to take plea on Wednesday 4th September.
According to the courts, Kihika offered for sale 89 cases of Azam Malt Energy drink, thereby defrauding KRA of Ksh.60,625.
Kihika faced a second count of being in possession of assorted soda products such as Stoney, Fanta, Black current, Fanta Orange at Mlolongo, all with a duty value of Ksh.25008.
