On Thursday, March 16, motorists were stranded along the Gilgil-Nyahururu highway after a long-distance trailer became trapped at an underpass near the Pembroke House flyover.Â
According to reports, the trailer was unable to pass over the flyover because the driver underestimated the bridge’s height.Â
“Traffic officers are yet to come,” eyewitnesses said, adding that motorists were irritated by emergency response providers’ tardiness.
The Gilgil-Nyahururu underpass was designed to accommodate medium-sized trucks rather than huge trailers.
The driver of the enormous trailer, on the other hand, was completely unaware of the risk as he attempted to travel through the underpass.
According to reports, the 24-wheeler was being driven from Gigil to Nyahuru when it became stuck.
