Victor Osimhen is reportedly open to a sensational switch to Juventus, but Napoli are expected to resist the move despite a release clause in the striker’s contract.
Italian journalist Raffaele Auriemma claimed on X that the Nigerian forward has reached a total agreement with Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli, who previously brought Osimhen to Napoli from Lille in 2020.
The two share a close working relationship, which has reportedly helped smooth talks on personal terms.
Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray, has a release clause set at €80 million, expected to drop to €75 million in the coming months. While Premier League clubs such as Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea were initially linked, none appear poised to meet the striker’s €12 million per season wage demands.
Juventus’ pursuit, however, is complicated by their fierce rivalry with Napoli. President Aurelio De Laurentiis is reportedly unwilling to allow the player to join a direct Serie A competitor for the stated release fee, and may demand a higher sum.
The move also arrives amid growing speculation that Juventus may part ways with Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic. “We will sit down at the end of the season and evaluate whether to continue together or take separate paths,” Giuntoli hinted.
Osimhen has enjoyed a strong season in Turkey, helping maintain his market value after no clubs came close to Napoli’s €110 million asking price last summer.
With tensions between Juventus and Napoli still raw from past deals, this potential transfer saga is far from over.
