Trump Hails Israeli Attack on Iran as ‘Excellent,’ Warns of More to Come

U.S. President Donald Trump has lauded Israel’s recent military strike on Iran as “excellent,” and warned that additional actions may be imminent, in comments that are likely to intensify already high tensions in the Middle East.

Speaking during an interview with ABC News on Friday, Trump asserted that Iran had been given an opportunity to de-escalate but failed to do so, leading to a forceful response from Israel.

“I think it’s been excellent. We gave them a chance and they didn’t take it. They got hit hard, very hard. They got hit about as hard as you’re going to get hit. And there’s more to come. A lot more,” Trump said, according to a transcript shared by an ABC reporter on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

Trump’s remarks come amid growing regional instability following Israel’s military retaliation against Iranian targets, which Israeli officials claim was in response to recent drone and missile threats allegedly traced back to Tehran. While details of the Israeli operation remain closely guarded, early reports suggest a coordinated airstrike targeting Iranian military infrastructure.

The President’s endorsement of the Israeli offensive and his declaration of potential further action are expected to draw both domestic and international scrutiny. Critics fear such rhetoric could embolden further escalation and derail any ongoing diplomatic efforts to cool tensions in the volatile region.

Neither the White House nor the Israeli Defense Forces have released further official statements regarding the scope or future of the military operation. Meanwhile, the Iranian government has yet to issue a formal response to either the attack or Trump’s comments.

This development follows weeks of heightened alert in the region, with increased movement of military assets and warnings from global powers urging restraint. Observers now watch with concern as the situation evolves, bracing for potential repercussions across the broader Middle East.
