U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday that he intends to sue the BBC, accusing the British broadcaster of misrepresenting his comments made ahead of the January 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol.
In an interview with Fox News host Laura Ingraham, Trump said he felt compelled to take legal action over what he described as false reporting by the BBC.
“Well, I think I have an obligation to do it,” he said, without elaborating on which specific statements or reports he was referring to.
