Former U.S. Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, who is now reportedly serving as Director of National Intelligence, has released documents that she says show serious wrongdoing during the Obama administration.
According to Gabbard, the documents reveal that U.S. intelligence agencies were used to create a false story about Russia interfering in the 2016 presidential election. This was allegedly done to make it look like Donald Trump won because of Russia, which Gabbard says was not true.
The documents claim that even though President Obama was told that Russia did not affect the election results, he still asked for more reports to support the idea that Trump worked with Russia.
Gabbard has called this a conspiracy, and her claims have led to calls for a full investigation into what really happened.
Actor James Woods, reacting to the news, said this could be “the most alarming act of treason” in U.S. history. He also praised Gabbard, saying she would be a strong and effective Cabinet member.
