Police in Isebania have arrested two men after intercepting a motorcycle transporting cannabis sativa valued at Ksh 165,000.
According to the National Police Service, officers at Motemorabu Police Post acted on a tip-off from a member of the public on August 13, 2025. They stopped the motorcycle, which was carrying a rider and a passenger with a black bag.
A search of the bag uncovered 67 large rolls of cannabis weighing 5.5 kilograms. The suspects were initially detained at Motemorabu Police Post before being transferred to Isebania Police Station for formal processing and arraignment.
The motorcycle and the bag containing the drugs have been secured as exhibits as investigations continue. Authorities have commended the public for providing timely information and urged continued cooperation in the fight against illegal drug trafficking.
