Police officers from Muthangari Police Station have arrested two suspects and recovered a large cache of suspected stolen electronic items following an intelligence-led operation in Kawangware and Riruta.
The operation began with the arrest of Teddy Anyanga, a 20-year-old suspect, in the 46 Area of Kawangware over the theft of a mobile phone.
According to police, the suspect cooperated during interrogation and led officers to Sam West area in Riruta, where he had allegedly sold the stolen device.
This led to the arrest of a second suspect, Juma Knoly Omollo, aged approximately 23 years, who is said to have further assisted officers in the investigation.

A subsequent search at the second suspect’s residence resulted in the recovery of numerous items believed to be stolen. These included eight laptops, four iPads and 227 mobile phones of various makes.
Officers also recovered 16 dismantled phones, several phone accessories, a 55-inch TCL television, a 6kg gas cylinder and an LG wireless soundbar.
All recovered items have been secured as exhibits and are being held in police custody.
The suspects remain in custody and are expected to be arraigned in court as investigations continue.
