Two suspects have been arrested in Trans Nzoia County following a police operation targeting the handling of suspected stolen mobile phones.
According to investigators, the arrests were made during an intelligence-led raid in Lessos, where officers from the Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau (CRIB), supported by personnel from Matisi Police Station, conducted a search at a residence near Airport Church.
The operation led to the arrest of Silas Wanjala, 24 and Job Kiberenge Sikuku, 28, who are currently in custody.
During the raid, officers recovered 213 mobile phones of various makes and models. Authorities also seized a Pandora machine suspected to be used for reprogramming mobile devices, as well as three HP laptops.
All recovered items have been secured as exhibits and are expected to undergo forensic analysis as part of ongoing investigations.

Investigators are now working to establish the origin of the devices and determine whether the suspects are part of a wider network involved in the illegal trade of mobile phones.
The suspects are expected to be arraigned in court upon completion of investigations.
Authorities have urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities related to theft or illegal handling of electronic devices.
