Two employees of Bank of Africa have been arraigned in court for allegedly defrauding the Bank of Africa (Kenya) limited over Ksh 7 million.
Judy Wambui Maina and Winnie Njeri Gitau appeared before Chief Magistrate Lucas Onyina where the prosecution alleged that the two on diverse dates between December 6, 2023, and November 7, 2024, conspired to defraud Bank of Africa Limited Ksh 7,285,985.
Judy Wambui Maina was separately charged with stealing by servant where it is alleged that on the said dates, being an employee of Bank of Africa as portfolio quality management officer stole Ksh 7.2M which came into his possession by virtue of her employment.
They denied the charges and were released on Ksh 2m bond with an alternative cash bail of Ksh 1m.
