Two charged with obtaining money by falsely pretending they would supply snake venom

BY PRUDENCE WANZA – Two men have been charged with obtaining money falsely by pretending that they would be able to supply snake venom.


Dickson Kisoso Maithya and Jeff Kilonzi Kilunda are accused of obtaining Ksh. 881,000 from one Anita Mueni Mbithi by falsely pretending they would supply her with snake venom a fact they knew to be false.


They are alleged to have committed the offense on diverse dates between 9th May 2018 and 18th May 2018 at an unknown place in Kenya.


The two denied the charges before Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi at the Milimani law courts.
They were released on a bond of Sh.300,000 or a cash bail of Sh. 200,000.


The case will be mentioned on 23rd September 2019 and will be heard on 20th November 2019.
