Two workers were electrocuted in two separate incidents in Nairobi.

The victims were at construction sites in Langata and Kayole respectively when they touched live wires dying on the spot.

Police were called to the scenes long after they had happened and took the bodies to the mortuary.

Such incidents are rampant at construction sites amid calls to ensure the safety of workers.

Some of the structures created do not meet the National Construction Authority’s safety criteria.

According to the authority’s analysis, 700 structures in Kenya are ticking time bombs.

The survey, which took place in 2018, included 14,895 buildings.

A total of 10,791 buildings were determined to be dangerous, according to the assessment.
