Officers from Matungu Police Station have arrested two men found in possession of approximately 15 kilograms of cannabis following a public tip-off.
The suspects were intercepted in a public service vehicle at Matungu Trading Centre and taken into custody.
The drugs were seized as evidence, and the men are scheduled to appear in court today.
The National Police Service (NPS) commended the officers involved for their vigilance and reaffirmed its commitment to serving and protecting the public.
“We commend the officers involved in the operation for their vigilance and commitment to keeping our communities safe,” NPS said.
The National Police Service said it remains steadfast in its mission of serving and protecting the public.
