Two people have been charged with trafficking of Narcotic drugs in a Kwale court.
The court heard that Hamisi Omari Mwafrika and Irene Aima Adero on the 20th day of September 2024, were found in possession of the said drugs, namely cannabis to wit 315.05 kilograms with a market price of Ksh. 9,421,500 in contravention of Provisions of the Act.
The two denied the charges with the prosecution seeking for stringent bond terms.
Principal magistrate Lillian Tewa released the two suspects on a bond of Ksh. 3 million each.
The matter will be mentioned for pre-trial on November 11, 2024.
