Two Police Officers Killed In Garissa IED Attack

Two police officers were killed on Friday when their vehicle ran over an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Garissa County.

Three other officers were injured in the attack on the Dadab-Garissa road.

While confirming the Friday incident, county police commander Thomas Ngeiywa stated that the officers were on their way to Garissa town from Dadab when they were attacked.

A similar attack occurred last week, on February 14, in which three officers were killed on the spot and one was injured.

A month ago, four people were killed when suspected Al-Shabaab militants attacked a convoy of Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) engineers in Garissa.
