Two sisters have filed a petition in Milimani’s Lands Division court to prevent businessman Abdisalan Adam from claiming ownership of a house in Spring Valley’s Jaffa Court -Highridge.
The petitioners, Sadaff Shokat Ali Gulam and Ali Habib, are sisters who want the court to stop Abdisamad Adam from taking over the mansion, claiming it was given to them by their late father.
According to the two applicants, on September 12 of this year, they discovered that the businessman, through his proxies, had attempted to trespass and illegally force his way into the property on several occasions.
They claim that despite police intervention, the businessman has threatened to use force and violence.
The sisters, through their lawyer Warulku Karuku, claim that the property is in danger of being transferred and sold to unknown third parties.
They now want the court to issue orders prohibiting the transfer or leasing of the property pending the outcome of the suit.
“I have since moved in and have continued to occupy the suit property since the time I purchased it from Mr Hussein,” Mr Adan states in his replying affidavit, insisting that he has all the proprietorship documents.
