Two Suspected Gang Members Arrested in Mombasa’s Kisauni Area

Police in Mombasa County have arrested two suspected gang members following a swift response to a public alert in the Kisauni area.

The incident occurred around 11:45 p.m. last night when concerned residents reported a group of armed young men loitering at Kadongo Stage. Officers from Mjambere Police Station responded immediately, arriving at the scene and apprehending two individuals found in possession of pangas.

The suspects were taken into custody and are currently being processed ahead of arraignment.

In a statement, the National Police Service reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining public safety and praised the community for its vigilance.

“We thank members of the public for their continued support and encourage all residents to remain alert and work closely with law enforcement to keep our neighborhoods secure,” the statement read.

The arrests come amid ongoing efforts by security agencies to crack down on gang activity in Mombasa’s informal settlements and high-risk areas.
