Two men are in police custody over allegations of producing and circulating counterfeit Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) 2025 result slips through social media platforms.
The suspects, Albert Kerry Nyadianga and David Opiyo, also known as G.O.A.T, were arrested in separate locations following investigations into claims that fake KCSE results were being offered to candidates and parents for a fee.
Investigators say the two allegedly targeted KCSE candidates and their families with promises of altered or āupgradedā grades, claiming they could manipulate official result slips at a cost.
Nyadianga was arrested in Kisumu, while Opiyo was apprehended in Ongata Rongai during coordinated operations carried out by detectives attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on secondment at the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC).

Preliminary findings indicate that Opiyo is a primary school teacher and is linked to several online groups allegedly used to promote examination fraud.
One such group, branded āKCSE 2025 Grade Upgrading,ā reportedly has tens of thousands of members.
Police say he is also associated with other online forums claiming to offer examination manipulation.
A forensic examination of the suspectsā mobile phones allegedly revealed images of forged KCSE result slips and related examination material, which investigators say point to a coordinated fraud scheme.
Both suspects remain in custody as investigations continue, ahead of their arraignment in court.
Authorities have cautioned the public against engaging individuals who claim they can alter national examination results, reiterating that KCSE outcomes are securely managed and cannot be changed outside official systems.
Detectives say efforts are ongoing to identify and arrest other individuals linked to the alleged scheme.
