Uasin Gishu Deputy Governor Engineer John Barorot has officially tendered his resignation, ending his tenure in the county government.Â
Philip Kipng’etich Muigei, the Uasin Gishu County Assembly Speaker, confirmed that Barorot stepped down following an offer to become CEO of a multinational company, though the company’s name remains undisclosed.
Barorot announced his resignation during a meeting at a top hotel in Eldoret, with Uasin Gishu Governor Dr. Jonathan Bii in attendance.
The formal announcement is expected at the Uasin Gishu County headquarters soon.
Barorot’s departure marks a significant transition for the county, which has seen notable development projects under his tenure, contributing to its recent elevation to city status by the President.
His resignation follows a period of substantial contributions, particularly in advancing infrastructure and strategic initiatives.
A distinguished professional, Barorot holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Strategic Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronic, and Communications Engineering Technology from Moi University.
The focus will now shift to appointing a successor to ensure governance continuity and the advancement of ongoing projects.
