UDA Appoints Gospel Artist Rufftone To Oversee Nairobi Grassroots Elections

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has appointed gospel singer Rufftone Smith Mwatia to oversee the Nairobi grassroots elections.

UDA also announced the appointment of 15 other individuals to oversee grass-roots elections in various counties in a statement issued on Thursday.

“It is notified for general information that the UDA party in preparation for the upcoming grassroots elections, has made the following appointments of the county and regional managers,” the statement read in part.

Rufftone’s responsibilities include identifying, organising, and managing the party’s grassroots community organisations.

Other regional managers include Khalif Khalid, who will be in charge of Taita Taveta, Mombasa, Kwale, Kilifi, Tana River, and Lamu. Benard Nguruna will be in charge of the central rift region, which includes Nyandarua and Nakuru counties.

Kiprotich Ngétich will oversee the South Rift Region, which includes the counties of Bomet and Kericho.

Paul Kiprop will take over as leader of the North Rift region, which includes the counties of Nandi, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo Marakwet, and Transzoia.

Other managers include Albert Mutani, Joseph Mulu, Idle Muhamud, Martha Wahome, Peter Mbogo, Wario Galma, Ezekiel Bosire, Esther Ndungu, Francis Kibai, Alex Khamasi, and Supeet Rais Daniel.
