The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) currently leads the polls as the most preferred party, according to a TIFA survey.
The party, led by Deputy President William Ruto is said to be gaining momentum past the Raila Odinga-led Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) garnering 30 percent of the opinion polls. ODM managed to garner 16 percent of the sample.
UDA’s popularity had climbed from 21% in June, whilst ODM’s choice was listed at 9%, according to TIFA.
The ruling Jubilee Party’s preference dropped from 40% in June 2020, 34% in December 2020, and 8% in June 2021 to 5% in November 2021.
According to the TIFA poll, UDA has more support than ODM and Jubilee combined, despite predictions that the two parties may establish a political alliance.
“A striking finding is the rise of the UDA party since its emergence as the preferred electoral vehicle for DP Ruto and those allied to him, first captured in TIFA’s June, 2021 survey and repeated in this current one, so that as of now it is near twice as popular as its closest rival (ODM).”
Amani National Congress, Wiper Party, and FORD-Kenya were all ranked at 1% in the study performed between November 7 and 13.
However, the pollster noted a huge number of undecided voters, at 40%, said they did not identify with any political party.
