Chege Njuguna has been named the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party’s Kandara Parliamentary candidate.
Njuguna was proclaimed the winner of the UDA primaries held in the constituency on Saturday, with 7,826 votes.
During a by-election on January 5, 2023, the nominee will face candidates from various political parties.
The parliamentary seat became vacant after President William Ruto named Alice Wahome as Cabinet Secretary for Water and Sanitation.
