Nakuru Town East MP-elect David Gikaria was kicked out of the Kiamunyi Secondary School polling station on Monday as residents were voting for Rongai MP.
According to Gikaria, he was at the institution to act as the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party agent during the polls.
The voters said they did not want the United Democratic Alliance party MP elect to interfere with voting.
While chasing him out, they said they did not want any politician elected outside Rongai Constituency to be part of the exercise.
“We want to make our decision independently. A politician coming here will result in the intimidation of voters and the IEBC staff as well,” a voter shouted.
Mr Gikaria was roughed up by supporters of Raymond Moi, who told him to leave the area.
A boda boda rider came to his rescue, offering to transport him to a safer area outside the polling station as jubilant supporters of Mr Moi bayed for his blood.

The protest saw minimal chaos and commotion before police officers intervened and helped restore calm in the area and voting continued peacefully.
