Uhuru In Quiet Inspection At The DCI Forensic Lab

President Uhuru Kenyatta at the DCI Offices

President Uhuru Kenyatta has lauded the DCI for fast-tracking the construction of a forensic laboratory at its headquarters in Nairobi.

In an almost two-hour closed-door discussion, the president met with top DCI officers led by Director George Kinoti.

He arrived in a small motorcade and was then driven to the laboratory, which is virtually finished and expected to open in May this year.

Insiders say he was escorted to the freshly built data center and ballistic rooms, among other areas.

The laboratory, the first of its kind, is expected to speed up forensic activities in Kenya.
