Former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama now claims that President Uhuru Kenyatta is being held hostage by power hungry politicians seeking to succeed him.
Muthama claims the change the constitution debate was a ploy to grab power through the back door…and said even Raila was having sleepless nights over the same.
Muthama said the move was not well thought out…hence the need to drop it.
“The proposed constitutional change was a major headache to President Uhuru Kenyatta “since the changes are not well thought out”; Muthama claimed.
Muthama, in  all odds barred interview says the loss of CORD leader Raila Odinga in 2017 was a blessing in disguise for Kenya…since the country “needed a God fearing leader to prosper”; he said.
Interestingly, Muthama was among the most ardent supporters of Raila and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka in 2017.
The maveric Ukambani politician, who now supports DP William Ruto’s presidential ambitions said even Raila was experiencing sleepless nights over the change and the constitution push.
He said he will lead the Kamba community to support Ruto bid…as Kalonzo was “being” duped by the BBI proponents. He did not elaborate.
