The East African Community (EAC) secretary general Peter Mathuki on Wednesday held talks with President William Ruto and former President Uhuru Kenyatta
In the meeting with the head of state, Mathuki was accompanied by the president of the East African Court of Justice, Justice Nestor Kayobera.

Mathuki briefed the President on the state of the EAC regional integration agenda, peace and security issues, and key priority projects and programs for the region during their discussion.
The meeting between the EAC secretary general and former president Uhuru took place on the sidelines of the meeting at State House Nairobi.
The retired president is the EAC’s Peace Process Facilitator in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Uhuru is also the Ethiopian conflict’s peace envoy.
