ODM Leader Raila Odinga has revealed the plans he has for his handshake brother after the lapse of his 10-year tenure in August 2022.
Confident Raila said in a BBC Interview that if he manages to take the August Poll, President Uhuru Kenyatta will be his advisor.
“If I become president, President Kenyatta will be an advisor, just as I have been one to him.”
Raila Odinga, who is on a 5-day UK Tour, stated that his handshake partner would be active in the country besides running his vast businesses.
“In his retirement he can do business, play various roles internationally, just as I have done in the AU. There is a lot that Kenyatta can do.”
Raila Odinga refuted claims that he was a puppet of the Uhuru government.
“Raila Odinga cannot be anyone’s project. I have worked with President Uhuru when he was a minister. When the country was in turmoil, We decided to work together for the benefit of peace.” He added.
Raila Odinga is running for the Presidency alongside Uhuru’s ally William Ruto.
The two top contenders for the seat have been at it since Raila Odinga and Uhuru brokered a truce deal.
