UK warns that all vacations in the country will be canceled for the rest of 2021

The British government on Wednesday warned that vacations and staycations could be under a threat until the vaccinations are complete

This comes after the national health minster Matt Hannock announced that any arrivals in the UK and lie about visiting destinations which is on their Covid red list will face up to 10 years in prison or a fine of $13,800.

“Until we know the route out of lock down which we can’t know until we have more data, more information on vaccines as well please don’t go ahead and book holidays said the transport minster during an interview on BBC.

He goes on to say it is very hard to have a clear picture about what the restrictions will be live during summer

The UK prime minster Boris Johnson said : ‘ it was too early to say whether the summer holidays will happen this year .I understand why people want to make plans now but we are going to have to be more patient he said before saying the government  will give more information on the last week of February .

Passengers arriving from destinations that are not on the red list must present a negative test within 72 hours of departure and they are also required to isolate for 10 days as well as take another covid test on the 8th day after arrival.

For anyone looking to violate the restrictions faces up to 10 years in prison and a fine
