A Ukrainian drone attack early Friday struck multiple targets in the Russian Black Sea port of Novorossiysk, damaging a commercial vessel, several residential buildings and an oil storage facility, regional officials said.
Authorities in Krasnodar region reported that three crew members aboard the affected ship were injured in the strike and were receiving treatment in hospital. The extent of the vessel’s damage was not immediately disclosed.
Local officials said debris from destroyed drones hit at least four apartments, shattering windows but causing no civilian injuries. Coastal infrastructure in the port area was also damaged, though details were not provided.
The attack ignited a fire at an oil depot within a major transshipment complex. Emergency services were deployed to contain the blaze, which regional authorities said had been brought under control.
Novorossiysk, one of Russia’s busiest Black Sea ports and a key hub for oil exports—has come under repeated drone and maritime attacks as Ukraine targets military and logistical facilities deep inside Russian territory.
Reuters said it could not independently verify the reports, and Ukrainian officials did not immediately comment on the incident.
