In a bizarre turn of events, a 35-year-old Florida woman, Nichole A. Maks, has made headlines for her unusual attempt to erase DNA evidence following a murder investigation.
Maks, who is facing charges of tampering with evidence, resisting arrest with violence, and premeditated first-degree murder, attempted a unique and unlikely method to evade justice.
Upon being questioned by the police, Maks, seemingly unfazed by the gravity of the situation, demanded both legal representation and a diet Mountain Dew. However, her intentions took a puzzling turn as she turned the beverage into an impromptu cleansing agent.
To the astonishment of law enforcement officials, Maks proceeded to pour the carbonated soda all over her body and hair, suggesting an ill-conceived effort to wash away potential incriminating DNA evidence.
This perplexing incident has left experts and observers equally shocked and bemused. Currently incarcerated without bond at the Volusia County Jail, Nichole A. Maks is set to appear in court on September 5th.
