Written By Vanessa Kariuki ||

Eliud Owalo, Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communications, and the Digital Economy, has launched a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) lab at Sabatia Technical and Vocational College in Vihiga County.

The lab is a component of the National Government’s Jitume Kazi Lab program, which aims to provide 23,000 virtual desktops to 100 TVET colleges nationwide by the end of April this year.

For Jitume graduates, the National Government has so far secured 10,000 virtual positions, with 50,000 jobs anticipated to be ready by the end of June.

ICT Authority and Technopolis Development Authority are implementing the Jitume Kazi Laboratories program, a National Government initiative (KoTDA).
