Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru has threatened to sue Kennedy Ombima popularly known as King Kaka over the ‘Wajinga Nyinyi’ song which she says has defamatory remarks directed to her.

Through her lawyer Paul Kiragu Wathuta, Waiguru says the allegations by the artist are patently false, ill intended and misleading and that King Kaka deliberately omitted to verify the authenticity and accuracy of the contents.

According to Waiguru the allegations in the song have damaged her reputation which is incalculable and largely irredeemable.

“The song is overtly designed to occasion and instigate hatred towards our client as well as a rebellion against our client. You released the song at most prime time of social media activity with the objective of inflicting the highest degree of damage to our client’s character.” The letter reads

In the legal letter against King Kaka Waiguru makes a number of demands including;

“That you offer an unequivocal, unqualified and unreserved retraction as well as an apology to our client subject to our review and approval.”

“The permanent, immediate and unconditional withdrawal, pulling down and/or deletion of the song from all social media platforms including but not limited to Twitter and You Tube.”

“A full and unconditional admission of liability in writing where after the issue of quantum damages to our client shall be pursued.”

And finally, “an unconditional confirmation and commitment in writing not to release any further defamatory songs or words against our Client.”
