Machakos Gubernatorial candidate Nzioka Waita has commenced his “Talk to me” extensive tour of Machakos at Ndithini village in Masinga Sub County of Machakos.
This is in keeping his promise made in an interview with Citizen TV, to the people of Machakos.
For the next five days Nzioka will focus on Masinga Sub County carrying out a series of townhall-style meetings specially designed to enable the people to freely express their concerns, priorities, aspirations, and tell their stories.
Most importantly, Nzioka wants to give the people a chance to question him, tell their everyday challenges in their own ways, and lay out their expectations.
In Masinga, Nzioka will listen to organized groups from key demographics of youth, women, elders, traders, and professionals in various fields, as he seeks to mainstream the views and aspirations of Masinga and Yatta constituencies in his core agenda.
Nzioka said, “As I begin my campaign for governorship of this amazing county, I want to hear directly from my people -the frustrations they have and the challenges they face in their own words and perspectives. Each one matters and all have a chance to talk to me. I am looking forward to engaging people directly and personally. This process will enable us to find priorities that the people want addressed. We must put Machakos first. Masinga is significant and relevant, deserving of tangible development like every other part of Machakos.”
