Chama Cha Uzalendo (CCU) party has awarded its party leader Nzioka Waita the nomination certificate to vie for the Machakos Gubernatorial seat.
Nzioka was awarded during the party’s prayer and dedication event that attracted a multitude of over 7,000 delegates, leaders, and the clergy in a day-long event.
Headed by former State House Chief of Staff Nzioka Waita, the party has attracted over 20 aspirants in the lower eastern region that was previously dominated by Wiper.
The event saw the awarding of Nzioka Waita as the nominated aspirant for the party, downplaying earlier speculation about his political future.
CCU Party Secretary-General Philipe Sadja said the party was blessed to front a visionary for Machakos, urging residents to entrust Waita with the county’s resources.

Nzioka Waita is running alongside Florence Mwangangi, in a race that pits the duo against Mavoko MP Patrick Makau and former Transport CAS Wavinya Ndeti, both in Wiper, among others.
