Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is gearing up to publish his highly anticipated interim report on Sunday, February 9, 2025, following extensive consultations across the country.
The report is set to be aired live on various TV and radio stations, allowing Kenyans to tune in from their homes.
In a tweet on his X account, Gachagua extended an invitation to the public to join the joint media interview to receive the latest update on the consultations he has been holding. “Tonight our engagement is a joint media interview to give an interim report of the various consultations we have held,” he stated, emphasizing that the event will take place at 7 PM on Sunday.
The consultations, which have been ongoing for months, have seen a diverse range of leaders and citizens gather at Gachagua’s residence to discuss the nation’s future direction.
Initially, he had promised to submit the report by December 31, 2024, but attributed the delay to an overwhelming response from across the country.
The feedback received from these discussions, Gachagua said, indicates that solutions to the nation’s problems lie within its citizens. He emphasizes the need for inclusivity, stating that everyone should feel part of the process.
His Wamunyoro residence has become a hub of political activities, with multiple delegations from Mt Kenya counties meeting to discuss potential options for the 2027 elections.
