Wang’uru Stadium in Mwea, Kirinyaga County, is scheduled to be finished in August 2021.
According to the Kerugoya County Development Implementation and Coordination Committee (CDICC), which is chaired by County Commissioner Jim Njoka, the contractor, Vee Vee, has completed 82 percent of the project.
Speaking to the media at the facility, the CC, who also serves as the chair of CDICC, stated that government engineers are actively monitoring the project to ensure that it fulfills the stipulated criteria and is completed on time.
The crew was led by the county commissioner during an assessment of national government-funded development projects in the county.
The stadium involves the building of a concrete VIP pavilion, steel pavilion stands, and the covering of earth terraces with a steel roof structure.
The project, which began in December 2020, was supposed to be finished in six months. During a development trip earlier this year, the president oversaw the facility’s construction and attended a meeting there.
