Police in Kisumu County have arrested two notorious suspects who had been on the run for robbery with violence, marking a major breakthrough in the fight against crime in the region.
The arrests followed an intelligence-led operation on Monday in Kanyametha, Obunga area, Kisumu Central Sub-County.
Officers stormed a house where the suspects were hiding and conducted a thorough search, leading to the recovery of several items believed to have been stolen during recent robberies.
Authorities say the successful operation is a significant step toward dismantling violent criminal networks in Kisumu.
Investigations are ongoing, and the recovered items are expected to help link the suspects to multiple incidents of violent crime.
In a statement, the National Police Service reaffirmed its commitment to serving and protecting the public, urging residents to continue sharing information that can aid in the arrest of criminal elements.
