Wanyama left out of Tottenham Champions League squad

Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama has been left out of Tottenham Hotspur’s Champions League squad.

Spurs’ boss, Josse Mourino says that Wanyama has been sick for three days and that he has not set his eyes on him.

“I will try to explain to him why he was left behind when he comes back,” said Mourinho.

Morinho was speaking in a news conference ahead of Wednesday’s FA Cup replay with Southampton.

The ‘king of Muthurwa’ as popularly known by Kenyans, has not had a good start of the season.

He has only appeared 4 times for Tottenham playing for just 122 minutes.

It’s quite clear that the former Southampton star is not in Mourinho’s plans anymore with the boss only using the likes of Sissoko, Ndombele, Winks, Lo Celso and Erick Dier in the central midfield.

The defending midfielder had been linked with moves to West Ham, Bayer Leverkusen, Amiens, Lazio, Celtic, Norwich City, Aston Villa and Galatasaray in the just-closed January transfer window.

Wanyama has only 18 months left on his contract.
