Wiper Machakos gubernatorial candidate Wavinya Ndeti has slammed Chama Cha Uzalendo(CCU) Machakos gubernatorial candidate Nzioka Waita’s ‘katakata’ remarks, terming them as a threat to her and Machakos wiper members.
Speaking to the media, Wavinya urged the police and all relevant bodies, including the NCIC, to investigate the former chief of staff’s remarks and threats aimed at Machakos wiper leaders.
The former Transport CAS stated that the relevant bodies should summon the CCU leader and question him about his sentiments.
Wavinya stated that Machakos residents are peaceful and that such threatening and intimidating talks by leaders seeking elective positions should not be tolerated, adding that Machakos is a cosmopolitan county with all 45 tribes.
However, Waita cleared the air in response to Wavinya’s claims, saying that his remarks meant that he would cut party politics that have dominated the region as parties won’t bring development to the region.
He also stated that he will cut corruption in the region, as well as theft of public resources by ensuring that those tasked with working for the people perform their duties.
The CCU leader urged Machakos residents to vote peaceful leaders who are solely concerned with the development of Machakos in the August 9 general election.
