A heated war of words erupted during a live TikTok session on Wednesday April 15, 2026 between Tanzanian boxer Karim Mandonga, alias Mtu Kazi, and his rival, Kenyan boxer Portifas Odipo, better known as Majembe, after the two agreed to face off in a possible upcoming bout.
Mandonga, known for his bold and often humorous talk, did not hold back as he sent a strong warning to Majembe promising a tough fight once they meet in the ring.
“Sijawai kupiga mtu huku nacheka, lakini nitakupiga huku nacheka,” Mandonga said confidently, declaring that he would defeat his opponent while smiling.
“Majembe sasa nakuelekeza, mimi mtu mzima nitakupiga wewe mtoto mbaka ukome.”The Tanzanian boxer also stressed that he is eyeing Majembe’s Vurugu title, expressing his desire to take the belt back home.
“Nimetamani huo mkanda wako, niichukuwe kutoka Kenya niilite Tanzania,” he said.
“Nataka nichukuwe kwa Majembe nilite Tanzania.”However, Majembe was quick to respond, firing back with equal intensity and warning Mandonga against underestimating him.
“Wewe Mandonga Mtu Kazi umeguza pabaya, my friend,” Majembe said. “Nakuhurumia mwanangu; unajua mimi uhurumia wazee lakini wazee kama nyini mimi hupiga.”
Majembe also made it clear that taking his belt would not be easy, dismissing Mandonga’s ambitions. “Ili uchukue hii lazima upitie ngumu kwa ndoto,” Majembe said.
Mandonga vs MajembeMandonga’s warning comes days after he publicly challenged Majembe to a boxing match.In a series of statements shared online, Mandonga expressed strong confidence in his abilities, suggesting he is ready to face him if he accepts the challenge.
The outspoken boxer hinted that he is prepared for a high-intensity fight, saying he is not afraid of stepping into the ring against Majembe if the match is officially arranged.
