According to reports, WhatsApp is developing a new feature for Windows Beta that would enable users to send status updates and an app sidebar.
Wabetainfo reports that the messaging app is adding this functionality to the most recent 2.2240.1.0 version, which was been distributed to certain beta testers last week.
Users won’t be able to add a new status update, though.
“WhatsApp is bringing this feature to the most recent 2.2240.1.0 update that was released last week to some beta testers,” it read in part.
With this new sidebar, users will be able to to reach status updates, settings and their profile.
