A man is receiving treatment in Mwingi hospital after a bizarre snake bite.
The poisonous cobra species serpent was dropped by a hawk at Kwa Mbungu in Mwingi Central, Kitui County.
Out of fear, the snake slithered into his car and bit his hand.
Residents evacuated him from the car and even before they killed the snake, the same hawk snatched it.
They attribute the incident to rampant witchcraft in the area.
The man is fighting for his life, according to sources at the hospital.
