A 37 year old woman accused of assaulting a fellow shopper at a Nairobi supermarket has been released on a cash bail of KSh 10,000 after denying the charges before a Milimani court.
Bibros Kwamboka appeared before the Chief Magistrate’s Court on November 21, 2025, where she pleaded not guilty to a charge of assault causing actual bodily harm. The offence is contrary to Section 251 of the Penal Code.
According to the prosecution, the alleged incident occurred on October 14 at a Naivas outlet in Nairobi. Kwamboka is accused of assaulting Phylis Wanjiku Muhia, resulting in bodily harm. She was arrested on November 19 and brought to court two days later.
Prosecutors told the court that investigations had been completed and requested that the accused be supplied with all witness statements and documentary evidence required for her defence. The magistrate granted the request and directed that all materials be shared without delay.
Kwamboka was released on a cash bail of KSh 10,000 with one contact person as surety as she awaits the next steps in the proceedings. The case is scheduled for mention on December 3 for a pre trial session at the Milimani magistrate court.
