A middle aged woman was arraigned at Milimani Law Courts today and charged with robbery.
Sarah Watiri Gathura is said to have stolen Ksh 6,863,000 from cooperative bank on November 1, 2019.
The stolen money is believed to have been withdrawn from the said bank in bits on diverse dates between November 1 and 19, 2019.
The accused woman is said to have personated Kirima Kennedy Mugambi of account number 01154107472500 hence withdrawing the cash from his account.
However, the accused appearing before senior principal magistrate Ondieki of Milimani Law courts denied the charges and was released on a bond of Ksh 300,000 with an alternative cash bail of ksh 100,000.
